Music Ministry

     The music ministry provides an excellent vehicle of spreading the good news of Jesus Christ through song. This ministry consists of the Mass Choir, Male Chorus, and Youth Choir. Rehearsals are schedules once weekly. (Sis. Loretta Moore, Sis. Freddie James, or Bro. Ricky Pugh)

Tape Ministry

     This ministry is designed to assist those in nursing homes, the sick, and those who may miss worship services (CD’s and DVD’s are available). (Sis. Sheila Curry or Sis. Shanika Williams)

Health Ministry

     CCBC’s Health Ministry seeks to educate our community on health information by providing medical information on sickness and diseases that are prevalent in our communities. (Sis. Maria Murdock)    

 Children’s Ministry

     Children’s Church is a replica of our Sunday worship, but on an elementary level, to enhance spiritual growth and righteous living. (Rev. Jackson or Sis. Jackson)

 Outreach Ministry/ Nursing Home

     The goal of the outreach ministry is to spread the gospel by promoting God’s word in the nursing homes, jails, and hospitals throughout the community. (Rev. Daniels, Rev. Adams, or Sis. Gloria Mims)

Missions Ministry

     This is an outreach ministry that assists with local and foreign needs. It is the duty of the mission to go and find those in need and assist them, as Christians should. (Sis. Gloria Mims)

Usher Board Ministry

      This ministry controls the order of the service, seating of the congregation, collection of Tithes and Offerings, and the needs of the Pastor. This board consists of three groups, the Women’s Board, Men’s Board, and the Youth Board. (Sis. Ann Hunter)

 Christian Chapel Family Life Center

     Our Family Life Center is a structure separate from the church’s building and is located next door to the church. The facility offers a great variety of personal and group activities on a weekly basis. This ministry also creates programs to keep the church and community busy. The center is open daily from 1:00 pm until 9:00 pm, Monday through Thursday and 1:00 pm until 6:00 pm on Friday. During basketball league play the center closes after the last game is completed. Different ministries of the church are also housed at the Family Life Center, they include:

Latchkey Tutorial Program

     This ministry is designed to provide after school care, tutoring, mentoring, and snacks to students with working parents. The church van transports children from school to our Family Life Center for this service. (Sis. Tina Bolden)

Head Start Program

     The Head Start Program is a comprehensive program for children from 3-5 years old. The Head Start Program at CCFLC is under the Dallas/Selma Community Action Agency and Community Development Corporation- Head Start Program. (334-289-0336)

Summer Day Camp

     The Summer Day Camp Ministry is designed to promote Christ to school aged children. The camp provides daily devotion, bible study, computer lessons, and transportation to summer lessons, enrichment activities, arts/crafts, basketball games, and field trips. This camp is in operation from 7:30 am until 5:00 pm during summer months

Food and Clothing Bank

     The Food and Clothing Bank Ministry is primarily for those in need of food and clothes. These banks are supplied mainly by donations. To donate items, for assistance with food and clothing, or to volunteer to work in the clothing bank, please call the Life Center’s director (334-289-0347).                           

Church League Basketball

     This ministry is another way of including the community into ministry. Through playing basketball we minister to other players. Our church sponsors an adult and youth team.
